republicans for plumsted

Republicans for Plumsted was founded in 2023 on the simple premise of bettering our community. While we do have a focus on improving the political landscape of our township, we prioritize community over politics. Why? Because the most pressing issues affecting us all are non-partisan in nature.

When Republicans for Plumsted meets monthly at the municipal building, we open by hosting a community forum where all are welcome. We discuss upcoming township events and how we can help improve civic engagement. The second half of the meeting is for members interested in local political issues. There we discuss township concerns and municipal happenings.

We encourage you to visit our next meeting regardless of your political affiliation. We believe you’ll leave feeling informed and hopeful for the future of our township.

Active community involvement is a central part of who we are as Republicans for Plumsted. Our members’ involvement in a wide variety of local activities––from recreational sports and coaching to environmental efforts, PTO engagement, Scouts, and more––keep us at the heartbeat of our township. As a group, we enjoy connecting with the community and enjoy attending, participating, and showing support for our neighbors. Our members gather for school theater productions, participate in town clean-up efforts, and among other initiatives, have raised hundreds of dollars for scholarships. Participating in one of our group gatherings or efforts is a great way to check us out and show your support for the community.

Community

Republicans for Plumsted is a politically conservative organization that reflects the values of many Plumsted Township residents. However, common issues like property taxes, home values, road maintenance, utility rates, and development within our township and business district are non-partisan. They affect us all, whether Republican, Democrat, or Unaffiliated voters. We believe the collective voice matters when it comes to how our township is managed and led. We believe that collective voice needs to be heard, and we’re here to listen, learn, and grow together as a community. We respond by endorsing political candidates that will make a difference in the quality of life for all residents. We’re interested in making a difference for the future of our community and leaving a postive legacy for our children.

Politics

In 2024, we proudly endorsed candidates James Hagelstein and Tom Potter for Plumsted Township Committee. Through the grassroots efforts of Republicans for Plumsted, those candidates won by a two-to-one margin and were sworn into office in January of 2025. This year, Republicans for Plumsted has proudly endorsed Bob Bowen and Ted Garrigana for Plumsted Township Committee, two gentlemen who are locally engaged, share common community values, and are running “For All of Plumsted.” We respectfully ask for your support of these two candidates in the June 10 Republican Primary Election.
